I'm a second year Ph.D. student supervised by Serge Belongie at UC San Diego. I also work closely with Gert Lanckriet and James Hays. My research interests are in computer vision and machine learning. In particular, I'm interested in cross-view image representation and matching in a large scale image database. Here is my CV.

Image-based Geolocalization

Project description:

In this project, we try to answer the question "where was a photo taken?". In particular, we are interested in 1) localizing a ground-level image with an aerial imagery gallery by cross-view image matching and 2) designing a human-in-the-loop system to learn and match the geographically meaningful visual patterns for geolocalization.
